We wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the inspiring life of Cy Spurlino. Cy, with his wife Joanne, spent a life committed to serving the community. His philanthropy will have a lasting impact on so many children and families.
Cy was a man of good humor, compassion, generosity, and intellectual curiosity. Education, especially STEM programs and community schools, was a particular passion of his. He remained engaged in our work throughout the years and was an important thought partner.
The Alliance is incredibly fortunate to count Cy as a benefactor and his loss will be deeply felt. His influence changed our organization for the better. We will honor his legacy through our continued commitment and dedication to the programs he loved. Our hearts go out to his wife and family as they grieve the loss of their husband, father and grandfather.
