DESCRIPTION:Join us at the FACT FAIR! \nsponsored by \nVolusia County Public Schools \nNew Smyrna Beach Middle School:  Thursday\, October 9\, 2014 \n5:30- 7:00 p.m. \nFACT Fairs provide families with resources to enhance student success and access community resources.  Volusia County Schools and community organizations are working together to provide parents with information about free resources available to families\, including support for legal issues\, health concerns\, housing\, employment\, voluntary pre-kindergarten\, and Head Start.  Families may receive information on topics such as reading\, math\, writing\, science\, transitioning to middle school\, tutoring services\, cyber-safety\, Title I programs\, exceptional student education services\, guidance services\, mentoring opportunities\, graduation requirements\, social work services\, school psychology services\, and technology in the schools.   \nFamilies will enjoy local school student entertainment groups and hands-on science through the Marine Discovery Center.  Free children’s books and pizza will be available. The first 75 families to sign-in at each fair will receive a free bag of groceries or a backpack filled with school supplies. \nThe FACT Fairs are sponsored by the Title I office for Volusia County Schools.
