Parent University

Parent University is a FREE conference with informational sessions that support the academic life of children in kindergarten through 12th grade. Sessions will be focused on academic and support programs in Volusia County Public Schools, effective strategies families can use to help every child succeed, and ways to advocate for the resources necessary for our public schools.

Participants will attend a general session followed by two classes (click to see examples). Free childcare (for children in grades K-5 only) is available with advance reservations.
We are working on dates for our next Parent Universities! Sign up today to be among the first to be contacted when they are available.

In February, community members, teachers, parents and students came together for a Community Conversation. This event was not a traditional conference but a real community work day. Groups worked together to define common goals and strategies to support our public schools as they strive for success for all students. If you missed it, please join the virtual conversation below. Lend your thoughts, ideas and voice to the collaboration process by answering a few short questions below. Sign up to be notified of the next event.
