Pinellas Student Alliance for Public Schools

Student Alliance for Public Schools launched in Pinellas during the 2015-2016 school year. Groups are working at Clearwater, Pinellas Park, Northeast and Seminole High Schools. These students have focused on raising the graduation rates for themselves and their peers.

They kicked off the school year by surveying their peers. Over 1,600 students at 4 high schools were surveyed. Once they had their responses, these youth leaders attended the Superintendent’s Leadership Conference. There they spent a day listening to school district leaders and working to design programs to improve student success at their schools. They will present their work to the community on March 30th at the GradNation Community Summit in St. Petersburg. Sign up to receive your invitation to this inspiring event.
