GRAD DAY FOR TAMPA BAY

On Thursday, March 2nd, student leaders and community members gathered in the ballroom of the Hilton Tampa Downtown with a goal of raising graduation rates for the Tampa Bay region.

Grad Day was a huge success! Over 350 community members and Student Alliance for Public Schools leaders from Pinellas and Hillsborough county high schools came together to talk about increasing graduation rates through building youth-adult partnerships.

The event was the third annual Grad Day for Tampa Bay, a GradNation Community Summit, sponsored by United Way Suncoast.  Motivating speakers and student contributors inspired everyone to increase graduation rates for the entire region. Breakout sessions were interactive and collaborative. Led by students and adults, participants explored ways to identify, create and foster youth-adult partnerships.

Attendees have shared that the event was very powerful and moving. This important work is only possible thanks to generous contributions of resources and time from people like you.
